First Time With 3D Layers – Criticism

Just got back from Mississippi! Great comments, folks. I agree with -all- of them! The project has already been submitted.. but, I may just go ahead and try to perfect the thing anyhow! 🙂 If I do.. I’ll repost and see what you folks think!

Steve! I actually went to a Toronto AE meeting a few years back! It was great… but, I lost track of things and didn’t return. I am certainly interested now though. I’ll be in touch.

Shayder! Good suggestion on the flapping of the wings. My original idea was to create a fully animated butterfly.. but.. I ran out of time. What is currently in the animation was a definite compromise.

Aharon! 3D assistants! I’ve heard of them.. but, I didn’t think of them when I made this project! AWW! Alas.. I distributed them all by hand. I suspect any distribution that had been done automatically by the 3D assistants would have required some heavy tweaking! I’m going to check it out though!

Check out this tutorial – it’s for creating a flock of birds in AE – but the same principles will work for a butterfly – In fact – I’ve used it many times for that purpose.
