    Hi,

I was on a shoot the other day with one memory card and realized I couldn’t get all of the footage in HD. So I switched to SD in the afternoon. Luckily I don’t have to use any HD and SD footage together.

When I watch the raw SD files using Windows Video Player – they don’t look all that bad (even full screen). However, when I put them in Adobe Premiere the quality is awful. The files are 720×480 (1.21) 29.97 fps so I assumed I should use a sequence preset for DV – NTSC, but again the quality stinks. Would I be better off using an AVCHD preset (I used an AVCHD camera) and zooming in 200% ?

Any advice as to how to best edit the SD footage as I have to deliver something. Thanks

Drop a clip on the icon that lets APP create a new sequence to match auto for you.

Yeah, what Chris said…sounds like you didn’t choose an SD Widescreen sequence to work in.

Another obvious thing, but make sure your playback resolution is set to full on the output.
