First Play problem
Hi Guys,
I have a problem with a project I am working on (first with Encore CS3) and I have an standard FBI warning set for a duration of 5 seconds. When I do a simulation it works perfectly. When I burn a DL-DVD, the first play is stuck and doesn’t move on. Any ideas??

What is the end action of the warning timeline set to?
Do you have any overrides set?

Hi Jeff,
The FBI warning was brought in as a menu, not a timeline. Like the main and chapter menu’s.
No overrides are set.

How many software and/or hardware DVD players have you used to play the disc? Some players don’t like a menu as first play.
If you can get one or more players to play the disc, then you’ll know it’s a player problem and not a disc problem.
A short timeline, with black video, set as first play could remedy the problem if my guess is correct.

The problem was the same on my PC and Mac. I also tried it on two DVD players in my house. I re-did the project on DVD Studio Pro with no problem. The only difference is I did the FBI warning as a slideshow, this is how it is recommended via the training software received with my studio software.
I will try the black video trick and let you know.
