    Hi All,

Sorry if I am repeating a common question. I have not seen the answer I need, although it is in much discussion.

I am working on my first FCP 7 project. I captured and edited a one hour project in HDV 1080i PAL.

I need to export to a single layer DVD.

I understand that there will be significant quality loss, but all I want to do is achieve the best quality possible. What is the best export method and settings?

I am running Final Cut Studio 3.

    Many thanks for you help.

If you want to archive a version that you can reuse to edit or master, do NOT go to DVD. You can chop up the video into about 20 minute segments and burn to a data as data files or better get a BluRay burner and back up the movie file to a DATA bluray.
