First Attempt At Movie. Worked fine but file size is WAY too big.
Hi there.
I used a combination of Windows Movie Maker and Sony Vegas to produce a short original music video. The song/movie is only around 4:30 but the file size (after being rendered) is almost 1 Gig. Even after RARing it’s still 379 MB. The audio plays fine, and all of the clips/effects/transitions I added work perfectly, it will just be impossible to upload to the web at this size? There has to be a way to fix this. My friend said something about using a different codec, but I don’t know much about them. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Your friend is correct. Try using the Sony AVC or Main Concept AVC as the render type. These should give you smaller filesize and web compatibility.

I read your post on a web site my maiden name is Chumacas as you know its not a very common name are we related?
