  • Firewire vs SDI, what am I loosing?

    Basic question
I know Firewire is compressed.. how much am I loosing (xh-a1) vs SDI (xh-g1) in capture.

Is there any andvantage to capturing componet or composite for say .. green screen work.

I am fixing to purchase the xh-A1, I am trying to match it with the best capture card without excess. Here are the three I am looking at… Opinions please!!!

    1. Matrox RT X.200
    2. Declink HD extreme
    3. AJA Xena Le

I am using Adobe Premiere to capture

    Much thanks

    Reggie

the SDI is mute, so you need to go YUV.and the XLR/RCAs
SDI is for Studio camera use, and has no use at all for what a camcorder is intended, recording SOUND and Video.
