firewire vs esata
for laptop editing, does anyone have any thoughts of esata cards and drives vs firewire? does the extra speed you get thru esata really matter since the bottleneck to me sounds like it’s going to be the hard drive right? (i have a 1 tb hitachi 7200 rpm drive) thanks.

This really isn’t a topic for the “Art of Editing.” That is a technological question that belongs in the FCP or Avid or Premiere or other NLE forum.
