i’ve just installed tiger on all of my G5’s at work. i’ve also made a mini server using a couple of quicksilver G4’s. i bought two LaCie 1 terabyte firewire hard drives to backup those servers…however, i’ve heard from several people that tiger is not very friendly to some brands of firewire drives. i’ve been told that it doesn’t so much delete your files as strip the NTFS or HFS+ filestructure data from the drive, rendering the stored files on the drive useless because the computer doesn’t know where to look for them.

has anyone else heard of this or had problems? do you know if it is being addressed?

    thanks
