I purchased the camera and love the features it has, but so far have had no use for the gps feature, might be a little ahead of its time.

I use My laptop (Dell xps 1710) with Vegas Pro 9 to capture clips for editing. The NX does not have a firewire port. Can you tell me the best way to get the clips into the laptop other than taking the card from the camera?

    Thank you for your help

You can use the usb cable from the camera to your pc.

Just connect the wire. Then the memory cards show up on your pc. You can either copy the files over to your pc, or use the sony software utility to import them. The advantage of the cmu as it is called, is to reconnect segments that were split due only to the file size limit.
