Firewire still missing
I have searched the Cow archives and tried every remedy I could find to the following problem; since upgrading to the brand new 5.1 studio, my firewire device (consumer dv cam) still comes up as missing even though I can control the deck. There were a bunch of previous postings that I went through and tried adjusting all of the A/V settings, Easy Set-up, trashing all QT receipts, shutting down computer and disconecting all firewire devices, refresh A/V devices, shutting down camera, view all frames, and more. The only thing I have not tried is a new cable, but since I can still control the deck, I am doubtful this will help. Is this assumption wrong? I am running a dual 2g powermac G5 with all up to date software. If you have any suggestions AT ALL I would love to hear them. Thanks!
