Firewire card for PCIe G5
Hi,
I’ve got an Io attached to my quad G5 but I also want to attach a Firewire drive to it. Anyone knows a PCIe Firewire card that I can install in the quad G5 so that I can separate the Io and the Firewire drive connection ?
Or is it ok to have both connected (one at front and one at back) ?

Hey chrispy. G-technology has some that’ll give you both fw400 and 800.

It is recommended that you separate your firewire devices from your io. The font and back firewire ports are running off of the same bus so a PCIe card is a must.
