I usually capture my footage thru an AJA IO. Last week, I had to go out of my fire wire port on my DVCam camera into FCP on my Macbook Pro. When I played back the footage, it was all 4 frames out of sync. Every scene was the same 4 frames out of sync. I slid the audio tracks to get back in sync, no big deal, but why did it happen? What did I do wrong?

    ok
since you give no info about your system, do you know that the default for FCP is 4 frames and the default for most hardware devices is 0 frames

    System Prefs > Playback control.
