firewire and powerbook g4
Posted by Amanda Nesco on January 17, 2007 at 11:10 pmHello, I am having trouble connecting my firewired to my powerbook g4 which runs on os x. When I try to capture video from final cut it say no device detected. Please help me. Thanks so much

January 18, 2007 at 4:41 pmI would guess it might be a problem with QT. This is pretty common post here. I would think you are using a small mini dv camera as a deck. If you are try this a possible fix.

January 19, 2007 at 4:10 pmThanks for the help, I tried this and it’s still not working. My comp is recognizing the firewire bus but final cut is not recognizing the FW. I think I’m going 2 try it on a different make to see if maybe it’s the firewire itself that is damaged…….
