Just bought a Nitro firewire 800 card for my 15″intel macbook pro that didn’t work with my lacie d2 or 250 gig drive. Boo.

    Here’s the tech guy:
Andrew: Hmmm. I guess the card could be bad. The only drivs that I know of that are hit or miss ws with all brands of TI ExpressCard , are some of the LaCie D2.
Andrew: Can;t narrow down why some work and others don’t
Andrew: why some D2 work and othersdon’t.

From Firewire direct with, annoyingly, no warning. ANY SUGGESTIONS on where to find one that does work? Or should i go with another kind of system like SATA and use these as backups?

But it does work with acomdata. Any suggestions of a good “turn-on” 800 drive?
