I have not been able to successfully capture any media using an 800 Firewire port on the new Mac Pros.

Has anyone been able to get their capturing device recognized by (and their media captured onto) a Mac Pro, using a 2 pin to 800 firewire connection?

    2 pin?

do you mean 4 pin to fw800?

I have done that on both of my macpro 8-core machines.
