Firestore drives to compress seq real time

June 16, 2009 at 5:15 amWell, firestore allows you to choose the compression you want to have as you your camera feeds the video signal to it. Why can’t we do the same as we play our sequence from fcp?

June 16, 2009 at 6:09 am[pedro casais] “firestore allows you to choose the compression” No they don’t, you have to set the Firestore to match you camera’s setting. So if the camera is on HDV, the FS is on HDV, if camera is DVCProHD, the FS is DVCProHD and so on. The Firestore does NOT do any compression.
