  • FireGL3100 driver update loses OpenGL ability

I was having problems with 3d objects not following the camera so I thought I would try updating my ATI FireGL3100 graphics card driver to 8.353.1.0.

It didn’t solve my problem and it created another. AE (v7 pro) now says that “no compatible OpenGL video card found”, and so won’t run anything in OpenGL.

I have tried rolling back the driver (couldn’t find the original driver) and reverting to a system restore point (Windows couldn’t do it) so I seem to be stuck with an antique system.

I have set the card to After Effects in Configuration Profiles but I cannot find anywhere to switch on OpenGL.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks

    Scott
