Firebrand, an all-commercials network
I’ve only seen this recently myself. I like it. Plays for an hour on the leased-access channel of my local cable late at night.
Like the old MTV but with commercials instead of music videos. Vee-jays pop up to mention trivia about the spots or the directors or ad agencencies, etc. A sliding bar at the bottom shows by logo what brand spots are coming up next and what you just missed. To me its like looking at an art gallery or at least like those best of compilation shows Dick Clark Productions cranks out. Hard to tear away from it because each spot is so good or gripping in some way.
have not been aboe to use the web site yet, I don;t seem to have the bandwidth to handle it, but the cable video version was nice becasue it let me finally show my wife what the Carlton Draught “Big Ad” looked like.
This week apparently the playlists are all Superbowl spots winding up to the big game. Fun to see the trends evolve from year to year.
Have many of you seen this yet?
