Sometimes I take an event from one file directory and add it to my project. Then in the future that directory may bet removed.
So, when I open my project, the video event is gone.

I’ve done this thinking that all the events were in the project directory, not outside it in another folder.

Is there a way to find out if all the events are in one place?
Doing a “save as” seems to be the only solution but I hate to do that on every project just with the chance there may be a stray event somewhere else on the hd.

This is exactly why I prefer to make a copy of any media event (even though it’s already on my hard drive(s) to a dedicated project folder.
That way I don’t have to worry about problems such as this.

Yes, I usually do the same thing. Sometimes if I’m doing a audio recording through the Vegas Arm and record, I sometimes slip up and it puts those wav files in windows default directory on the root.

You can open Project Media window, set Details view and check the Path column 🙂
