Finding Invigorator Layer in 3D Space

Hi there,

I’m using invigorator layers in a 3d comp with the invigorator layers being seen by the comp camera.

I want my camera to fly off and spin away in quite a large space.

my problem is that i can’t ‘find’ my invigorator text layers once i have ‘spun’ away. i’m changing the parameters of the Sets of the effect but its really hard to control where the type goes…

is it possible to parent my invigorator type to the camera or a 3d null?

Any other way to make working with this easier?

If you are using the Pro version 4 you can link your invigorator to an AE 3D layer using 3D object tracking:

This make it very easy to see where your invigorator object is in AE’s 3D space.

Maybe you can take a solid layer as a 3D dummy. Take the position parameter from the invigorator and put it to the dummy layer.hope this helps.
