Finding duplicat footage in one or many sequences?
I often wish I had a way to automatically find duplicate footage across a single or many sequences. i.e. if I have a load of small GV clips of a similar subject or shot, it’s difficult to easily identify if I’ve used an exact same portion of a clip before.
All of my material is Sony XDCAM footage and has unique timecode for each project.
Anyone know of a way (script, plugin, workflow method) to easily identify where footage is used multiple times in a sequence or range of sequences. I would have thought there’s a way to script this based on the XML project file if nothing else?

Select clip in Project Window.
Open Preview Area (if not opened yet)
Click on the triangle next to the clip.
Click on the position or one of the positions when use more than once and the Playhead will point you to the clip in the timeline.———————————————–
