Finding a file in Premiere Pro
Hey everybody!
I have a question that may not have an answer 🙁
I have a client who swears up and down there’s a certain image in his commercial that he runs every June. The only problem is he hasn’t run any commercial with this certain image in the last two years since I’ve taken over the account.
Another producer had this client for years until that producer moved and now I have all of the files of his for the client.
I found the image the client says he’s been using, but it’s not in any commercial I’ve produced nor is it in any of the previous commercials the previous producer produced.
Now the question: Is there a way to basically “reverse lookup” a file? What I mean is is there a way to select an image on the computer and find out every project that it has been used in?
If there’s a way, that’d be awesome!

I don’t know of a reverse lookup myself.
But what about the title/ISCI of the spot? That way you can confirm what you produced versus what the client thinks. Or, if you do not have that title/ISCI on file, did he get the spot produced elsewhere?
Last but not least (especially with local direct clients) just put the darned image in there and color it done. 😉

Lol I don’t mind adding the image to the spot, but he’s really adamant about finding this spot from years ago.

Hmmm – how many years ago? With that number in mind, do you have spots on file from that year, Or has material “of a certain age” been purged?
