  Finder preferences in Leopard

  Has anyone else found that adjusting the ‘Show These Items on the Destop’ preferences options do not work properly?

  I have found that if I turn Hard Disks off for example, they disappear from the desktop. But if I tick the box to show them again they do not reappear.

  This is causing some issues as items that I want to show on the desktop do not always show now.

  The strange thing is though that my Compressor Droplets still remain visible even though I might turn everything else off.

  The only way to reset everything is to tick what I want to show and then reboot.
