Find missing effect?
SO, bit of a headache here.
Got an AE project in with an effect that is missing. However, I really want to get rid of the effect in general. Is there a way to have AE point me towards the layer with the missing effect? Seems so simple, but I’ve exhausted my resources (web/manual/people) and i can’t find anything! I collected the files to see if the report would point me towards the layer, but nope.

I too am having this issue…. i have a gigantic project with 1 missing effect. i dont need the effect anymore but cant figure out a way to quickly find the effect and remove it so we dont have to deal with the dialog box every time the project opens.
is there a script?
