Find Bin
Hi,
In Avid I had a very useful ‘find bin button’ that I could apply to both timelines and clips – ie both the the viewer and canvas windows. I can see no sign of it in FCP. Any ideas, or does FCP just Work Differently?

In Final Cut is reffered to as reveal in finder. I belive it is the Control or Option F key combo.

Thanks, but that’s not what I’m after – I know how to reveal in finder. What I want to do is find which open and show the bin that a clip, or a sequence, has originated from, – a la Avid.

Make the time line active.
Park the play head over the clip.
Shift – F (Or View > Reveal Master Clip)
The browser will become the active window and the disclosure triangles will roll open to reveal the Master clip.
Normal auto select rules apply if there are multiple layers.
