So I’ve upgraded to AE SC3 and all’s well in paradise, except for the fact that some of my plugins aren’t CS3 compatible. In several cases the third-party plugin has become a standard effect in AE (Tritone for instance). However, when I open a project I get a prompt telling me that certain plugins are missing.

What I’d like to do is locate all instances of an effect in a project, the same way you can easily locate all instances of an asset (by right-clicking that asset).

Is there anybody out there that knows how to do this? My project files are too big for me to go through each comp clicking “E” since there are 700-900 comps per project file

    Thanks in advance,

Paul Tuersley has a script here that allows you to search compositions for effects and turn them on or off: https://aenhancers.com/viewtopic.php?t=31

This isn’t exactly what you were asking for, but it seems like it might do the trick.

Thanks Todd, this’ll definately help us out. And Paul Tuersley’s site is going to be good fun wondering around in.
