I finally finished a video for my work a couple weeks ago that really impressed my boss thanks to the AE help from you guys (its really not that impressive, but he knows very little about AE or video editing in general). Take a look and let me know what you think… I know the subject matter is a little dry and I’ve heard that my bosses narration puts people to sleep, but I did the best I could. This is the fist project I have used AE for in a couple years so I would appreciate any feedback or constructive criticism since I am currently making another video for work. Enjoy…

    heey Zyg

nice job putting it togher like this 🙂

    but..
you focusing(pay attention) to much on those beamers, to much shots of them. and after the interview you have a animation and some shots in a big college room (very nice), but i saw this college room also later in the movie, with no further information. that is wrong i guess.
and, you want to want people see this “documentairy” and the worst thing to begin with is a hmm, yes the bit “boring interview”.

after that it go’s very good with nice shots, fast forwards, nice animation (with the clocktower and the radio waves at the top ^^ )

i suggest that you begin with nice animations, cool stuff to attract people to see it, then take people deeper in it by letting them see a good interview. then explain more details etc.

for the rest, what camera did you use?

overal view : nice movie, change the construction settup a bit and it will be fine.

    Good luck

    Bart

I agree that the beginning is a little dry. Originally it started out with just the yellow intro part, but then I showed the rough draft to my boss and he liked it so much that he wanted to do an intro to have his face in the video. What do you mean by “beamers” by the way? Projectors? I used a Sony Z1U… wouldnt be able to tell since I had to compress the hell out of the video to fit it on youtube though. Thanks for all the input.
