Hi! Maybe i have a problem or not… Configurating FinalCutPro on the G5 the biggest amount of Ram the Program accepts is 2560MB for the Program and 2410MB for the Cache…actually i have 8GB RAM isnt it possible to use them all? Sometimes i have problems working in FCPHD and it tells me i dont have enough Ram…The Activity Monitor just can recognize 4 of 8 ram…they (apple) told me it is about the program(activity monitor) working with 32bit and my prozessor with 64bit so it divides my rams to the half?! I thought it could be a similar problem with FCP? or is it just normal and 2560MB is the maximum of ram i can use for the program? thanks for reading esra

8Gig – not bad…That’s right, under the current system architecture of the G5 each individual application can only harness a maximum of 2Gb of RAM. But don’t fret it’s not wasted – it means you can run numerous applications at full whack simulataneously.
