We are pleased to announce the final release of DaVinci Resolve 12.5.
Thank you to all the users who provided beta feedback.

With more than 250 new features and 1000 enhancements we look forward to you testing and offering feedback in the DaVinci Resolve 12.5 section of the Blackmagic Design forum.

This is a no charge upgrade for existing customers and the no cost version for Mac OS X and Windows is also available on our support web site.

Remember, please back up your project database before upgrading.

is there a change.log file? which bugs did you get rid off, what improvements are waiting for us?

Hey Peter,

What is the proper upgrade path if I have purchased Resolve 12.3 Studio in the Apple App store? Will there be an update
posted there or should I just download 12.5 studio from the Blackmagic website and install from the download?

The BMD web site Studio version required a dongle that you dont have if you use the App Store version. Now we are out of beta we will submit to Apple so you can get the App Store upgrade.

a quicknote:

if you own xkeys or similiar external device you have to reassign all your custom mouse-clicks -> the UI changed :(.

Resolve 12.5 on mac keeps flashing raw frames(ungraded frames) on timeline scrubbing and also on final export.
Also it crashes when applied NR and does not show red rocket in GPUs List.

resolve 12.5 linux issues:
1)is not able to read uncompressed 8bit quicktime but is able to write
2)softness of windows seem to be out of place.
3)red metadata in color do not show the actual metadata at which the footage is shot but defaults to iso1280,exposure0.00,colour temp5600 for all shots even if the “use camera metadata ” setting is ticked in the project settings to use camera metadata iso,exposure and colour temp is selected.
4)the color of the images changes when you switch to clip in color page even if the project settings are same as that of the clip.
