Final Cut/HD/Edit to tape
So i’m trying to EET from an Apple Pro Res Sequence in FCP 6.0.3 (i’ve also tried this in 8/10 bit without success) to an HD Cam tape (Sony HDW M2000 Deck set to 59.94).
My Kona Card outputs are is set for 1080i @29.97 (which is 59.94 i think).
I have “Printed to Tape” with success, however when i try and use EET the video looks all green and funky. I’m also getting a condition error on my deck.
I have used the Easy set up to set up my output, and I have made sure my kona setting look good, but there are so many options in the kona control panal i don’t know if i’ve selected all the right settings.
Help…this has got to work.

this almost sounds like your feeding an SD signal to the deck.
I once had the same issue feeding downconverted HD to a Digibeta deck.

You are correct on the easy setup 1080i 29.97 corresponding to the decks setting of 59.94. I would double check your playback settings within Final Cut (also make sure on the RT Extreme tab that you are set for high quality playback and not dynamic). After that, I would double check in the AJA control panel that it isn’t set to down or cross convert.
If that still doesn”t work, I know that with D5, if you have the tape’s write protection set to lock audio tracks 5-8, but you have the deck set to write to 8 audio tracks (even if you are only laying down 4) it will give you tape condition errors. I haven’t worked with HDCAM, so I’m estimating here based on experience with D5.
