July 1, 2006 at 1:44 pmwhat i usually do is to export a QT self-contained movie and use Compressor to convert it to m2v format & aiff under the Best QUality DVD. Then I’ll bring it into DSP for making the dvd.
I’m not sure whether this works but I’ve heard from a training i’ve attended that in DSP they would automatically convert your raw footage for DVD use.
Either way, the 1st method that i’ve mentioned always worked fine for me
good luck

July 2, 2006 at 8:29 pmIt sounds like you are just dropping the Quicktime into DVDSP? It needs to be encoded first. If you exported that to DVDSP than there should be a RED light next to the video asset footage indicating that it is encoding it in the background.
I export the .mov file then open Compressor and choose the encode rates for audio type and video and after the .m2v and .aiff files are extracted, then you import these into DVDSP.

July 3, 2006 at 2:38 pmI don’t know why I’m having this problem. I’ve made alot of videos and outputted to DVD.
Not sure if it’s becuase it’s raw footage. I export using quicktime movie, then import assets. The audio imports but the video is offline. I hit relink and nothing happens.
I’m trying now to export using compressor, Best Quality. But in the past it’s taken hours and then says the file is too big. What or where is the m2v?
