Final Cut X
There seems to be strong opinions for and against FCP X. I also love FCP 7. But, if Apple is changing and I really like the product, I should give it a shot. But, I would like a trial version first to experience editing with the software. Is that an option?

There is a trial version. Go to the App store and download it – trial for the first 30 days, then you need to buy it.
