  Final Cut Version Compatibility

  Hi,
  I have my Mac Pro that I’ve been editing using Final Cut 7 for over a year. I bought a MacBook, and want to be able to edit projects back and forth between the two computers.

  My main concern before I buy software is, is any “sub version” of 7 compatible with back and forth with any other sub version of 7? I won’t be getting X, I’m just worried a newer version of 7 will not allow me to take my project back to the desktop.

  Also, are there other concerns about moving projects? I keep my projects and all the assets for them on their own external drives. My plan is to just plug a drive into the other computer and open the project file. Maybe I’m dreaming here…
