Final Cut Studio 4?
After many discussions with pro editors, I believe one way Apple could salvage its relationship with the people who depend on FCP would be a new Final Cut Studio. Fully 64 bit, it will able to open previous FCP projects. (Imagine if Adobe or MS released a new Photoshop or Word that could not open previous documents.) Motion, Compressor, Color and Soundtrack Pro would be modules within Final Cut rather than separate apps. Come on Apple, you can do this!

Yes, I agree with Shane it will never happen. Apple shot their bolt betting on X and invested the time and money creating a new piece of software, optimizing it for their own perceived needs, ignoring the current environment and the relationships that exist within it. They will not be rolling back, rolling over, or any other pet tricks — but as far as Final Cut moving forward — not a stretch to play dead.
