I’ve just updated to Safari 4.0.3 and since then, none of the final cut studio apps will open past the splash screen, if that. The error code that is sent to apple reads as follows:

    Exception Type: EXC_BREAKPOINT (SIGTRAP)
    Exception Codes: 0x0000000000000002, 0x0000000000000000
    Crashed Thread: 0

    Application Specific Information:
*** Terminating app due to uncaught exception ‘NSInvalidArgumentException’, reason: ‘*** +[ProKit changeToLook:]: unrecognized selector sent to class 0xdec120’

    Thread 0 Crashed:
    0 com.apple.CoreFoundation 0x9087ae94 ___TERMINATING_DUE_TO_UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION___ + 4

If this is related to safari (which I have no idea how it would be) I’d love to know how to fix it, or is this just a coincidence and I need to address something else. Non-FCS3 apps seem to be fine (Firefox, Safari, iPhoto, etc), and I was hoping someone could shed some light on this or at least say the same thing is happening to them. Thanks!

    That’s a worry. Anyone else?

Can’t repro this. Might be a conflict with third party software.

    All the best,

Have you reset your permission like you should after EVERY update?

Did you clone your drive before updating?
