Final Cut Studio 2 Freezing on Install
I have a macbook Pro. I have the Final Cuts Studio 2 upgrade to Final Cut Studio 1. The Final Cut Studio 1 I have is an upgrade to Final Cut Pro. I also have Final Cut Pro 3
I installed Final Cut Pro 3, then the FCS 1 upgrade, then attempted to install the FCS 2 upgrade and the installation froze while writing files. So I tried again, deleted everything and reinstalled, it froze again on the FCS 2 upgrade. I gave up for a few months and am currently trying again, only this time it is freezing during the FCS1 upgrade.
Does anyone know why this is? These are all legal copies from my work purchased from Apple.

What OS are you running?
My understanding is that you don’t need to install the originals to then upgrade. I would try a clean install of the OS and then install the FCS2 upgrade.
The upgrades are fully installable – you just need the original serial numbers from the original version
