In the Apple oficial forums there is a new category under the Pro Video software,
    named Artbox.

    Not Final Cut Server; Artbox.

    Isn´t it strange?

Apple uses the name of the purchased company, not something they´ve done before, I think.

What does it mean? Final Cut Server is not gonna ship soon?

    Flavio.

Apple promised Proximity’s client base that Artbox support would be available through 2009. Then they realized that the application was just too complex and specialized for them to support, so they tried to quietly dump it back in January. Then I wrote some much needed Artbox administrative documentation and offered a support option outside of Apple, at https://www.yinspro.com. Apple Care needed to save face with the Artbox users, so they put up this discussion board, and dumped a few tech notes into the knowledge base. The sad part, is that the stations all pumped considerable capital and time into the Artbox platform, and now Apple just wants to abandon them. Final Cut Server is missing some key components that Artbox had for newsroom work flow, so it is not a good replacement product for Artbox.
