    Good afternoon,

I am currently editing on a Mac OS X Version 10.5.6. The specs to my laptop are as fallows:

Processor is 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

    Memory 4 GB 66 MHz DDr2 SDRAM

I am running  Final cut pro version 6.0.5

My Final cut has been quitting lately and I believe it is because it is only recognizing 2 GB of the 4 GB of ram installed. Also, its quitting on large files.

The problem I seem to be having is with large video projects that require bringing in quick times. My final cut completely quits out with no warning. Also, rendering and any kind of graphics slows it down. By quitting out I mean that it just exits the program all together.

( It also quits even when it is the only program running. Also, Motion seems to have the same problem.)

I was guessing that this would have something to do with the lack of Ram in my computer, but I really don’t know. Does anyone out their have answer for this? If so please let me know. I would like to have a cost efficient way to fix this if possible.

    Thank you for your time,

    Jenny Murphy
