Final Cut project Export into AVID DS 6.02
Can anyone tell me how to convert a final cut project into one I could open with an AVID DS (v6.02)? I know that Automatic Duck has a product, but it says DS is not officially supported, and that some users use a media composer as an intermediate step. I have a media composer as well, but have always found the conversion from our MC9000 to the DS to be pretty bad. Currently the only method we have available is exporting EDL’s.
I feel like i’ve missed the boat on project conversions. can anyone help me? -

Use autoduck to export an OMF file from FCP.
you can do one of the following.
1. Import OMF into DS directly. This works well. not too much else to say about that.2. Import OMF into MC. Export sequence from MC as an AFE file. import into DS.
ther’s not alot of difference betweent he 2 by the time you do this. The OMF–>MC–>DS route is thought to clear up an issues in the interchange..
