Hi, my professor told me I should as on this site for help because we’re not sure how to fix it, I have Final Cut Pro X 10.2.1 downloaded on my MacBook Pro, macOS Sierra 10.12.26 , and the program works fine, but whenever I try to export anything it just, crashes and shuts down without exporting, this started a few weeks ago and I have no idea what caused it it was working fine before. Any suggestions to fix this would be very helpful because I need an editing program for my class and final cut is what I’m the most used to.

Giovanni, that’s a pretty ancient version of FCPX. I agree with Henrik, if it’s possible to update your MacBook Pro to a later OS you can upgrade FCPX to a later version. I believe MacOS 10.13 would allow you to run FCPX 10.4.6.

If you can’t upgrade, have you tried reseting the preferences? I don’t remember if this works on such an old FCPX version: hold command and option while launching FCPX, click Delete Preferences, then open your library to see if you can Share.

Another thing to try is to create a new Admin user on your MacBook Pro and login as that user and try to Share. It’s possible something got corrupted in your User directory.
