Final Cut Pro X – The New Manual
Posted by Gerry Fraiberg on September 21, 2011 at 1:10 amWith the update comes a new version of the user guide. For what it’s worth, the new Final Cut Pro X Help for 10.0.1 is 375 pages. The original document is 454 pages. I wonder what happened to 79 pages?

September 21, 2011 at 4:41 amDoes it scroll horizontally?
Does it have its own widgit?
Do the pages have a new numerical system apple created by only using positive integers because they finally discovered how to create spiritual oneness with the user?
Are entire chapters just buzzwords?
I’m thinking yes to all the above.
Hope Randy still has jock itch

September 21, 2011 at 4:04 pmOk, someone help me please…
I was able to save the previous FCX manual as a pdf. I don’t see that option here.
Also, I was trying to use the search function to find information in the manual, “roles” for example. No hits for me.
In fact, using the menu Edit/Find, the find (opt-cmd-F) is greyed out.
Am I doing something wrong?

FCX. She tempts me, abuses me, beats me up, makes me feel worthless, then in the end she comes around, helps me get my work done, gives me hope and I can’t stop thinking about her.Mark Morache

September 21, 2011 at 4:24 pmIt’s strange and non-intuitive to me that I can’t print the book from the help viewer, even though I still need to be connected to the internet to use it.
Thank you for your help.
I now have my pdf.

September 22, 2011 at 7:05 pmMy guess is that there is no PDF for FCPX (beyond downloading through the Print function) is that it’s still a work in progress much more so than Motion or Compressor.
