  • Final Cut Pro X – Move Rotation Anchor Point

    Hi,

I’m really struggling to figure out how to move the centre anchor point on an image in final cut pro X. I’m trying to animate a car tachometer so need to center point to be exactly in the centre of the needle or it rotates on the wrong axis.

I’ve spent the last hour looking for a tutorial and can’t find a decent one anywhere!

    Many Thanks
    Tom

There’s an “anchor” parameter in the “transform” section of the inspector.

    Hi Jeremy,

Thanks for that, I’ve found the anchor parameter but I still haven’t found out how to move the anchor points?

    Many Thanks
    Tom

Open the Transform controls in the inspector and move the anchor point x,y controls.

Is there a way to move it with the mouse? Seems a bit cumbersome using the xy controls.
