Final Cut Pro X Lag during transitions.
I am having an issue with FCP when it comes to adding transition, example the cross dissolve transition. I am using a Imac with spec, Intel core I3 and 4GB on ram and 132GB of available free space. The original files were converted from AVCHD to MP4 from using Clip Wrap 2 (Trial) which works great, and the file codec is H.264. Any reason why this might be happening.

Wrong workflow.
Just must convert the files to Prores.
Any flavor of h264 & Mp4 are not supported by FC.
Anyway, your psot is confusing. The title mention FCPX, the you talc about FCP. The “legacy”?
FCPX should manage H264 native.
