Is it me or does FFMPEG sound better than Final Cut Pro?

    For FFMPEG I used command export: ffmpeg -loop 1 -framerate 2 -i input.png -i audio.m4a -c:v libx264 -preset medium -tune stillimage -crf 18 -c:a copy -shortest -pix_fmt yuv420p output.mkv

    FFMPEG Video: https://youtube.com/shorts/-58vSLLka_E?si=hJdwz_btuooG5PAH<br style=”font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit;”>

Final Cut Pro export: Prores 422 48khz 60fps

    Final Cut Pro Video: https://youtube.com/shorts/zlJ90k5g-oI?si=4d9fk19MaRMocJh4

The Thing is I want to stick with one that is faster to upload on YouTube With Excellent sound quality. What do you guys think Final Cut Pro compared to FFMPEG? Which sounds better?

    Sorry, Eddie… I think it’s you.

Nobody who’s watching YT shorts is going to give a flying monkey’s butt about whatever minuscule difference you’re hearing – they sound the same to me fwiw.

Save your sanity and go with the simpler/faster output.

    Hey Eddie,

Just had alisten to both your version on YouTube, and honestly could not hear the difference – but keep in mind that a vast majority of your viewers will be watching YouTube shorts on a mobile phone or tablet. And, depending on where they are based, YouTube (Google) may throttle the full quality version, to prioritise a contineous playback over stop-start streaming jitter.

In other words, you just can’t win!

Adding, that there is not much movement in a “still”.

I watched both your versions to the end and gave each of them a like.

Also, noted that the version that you added #hashtags to, had over double the amount of views.

    Good Luck!
