Hi. I got your email from Jeff Blakeman at Tekserve when I was in last week.
Have a Final Cut Pro question I’m hoping you can answer:

I have the newest version for the intel based Macbook Pro. Whenever I save my project files and send them to another user with the earlier version of FCP (non-universal crossgrade), they can’t open the files.

question: Is there a way to save my project in an earlier format so they can open it?

    Thanks very much.

    Best,
    Peter Sterling

That is just the way it has always been. Once your project files is created on an FCP version, it will not easily go down one version, etc.

You can try exporting the project via XML and see if that will help your situation.
