I’m creating a presentation in Macromedia Flash MX 2004. When I use an AVI file (which others have suggested), the video and audio slow down to an unusable rate during playback (like slow motion) of the file. I’m having to use a WMV file for the video portion of the presentation. Is there any way to import and use the AVI file for the video section with better results? Is there a specific way to import and use video in Flash that is better than file -> import?

Can anyone point me to a good source on this topic. This is a coorporate gig and the clips are about 30-40 sec.

If I understand you correctly, you want to play a video inside a Flash movie. If that’s it, I suggest encoding the video to a flv. You’ll need to use the SparkPro codec in MX2004 (I think). The newer On2VP6 codec is MUCH better, but you may have to use Flash 8 instead of MX. Check out the Macromedia Flash forum on the Cow for more info.
