Up until recently I’ve been having no problems doing the following. In the qmaster control panel I set up “Quck cluster with services” and set the compressor service to use 6 or 7 cores. From Final Cut Pro i send the clip to Compressor and render using the cluster I set up. When I do this I get:

Status: Failed – HOST [**computer.name.here.local] Final Cut Pro generated an error or unexpectedly quit

FCP hasn’t quit though. And when I just drag and drop a .mov on compressor to render with the cluster, I don’t get this error. Does anyone have an idea of what is going on?

BTW: I’m on Snow Leopard 10.6.2, latest release of FCS, lots of disk space and memory.

Unhelpful answer: I’ve had nothing but errors when trying cluster rendering & “send to Compressor.” I’ve taken to making QT ref movies when I need full cluster speed.

I’m still on Leopard with FCP 6.
