final cut pro storage
So i am installing FCP 5 on my computer and it says that i need 4 gigs for the applications for FCP motion livetype etc. And another 40 gigs for media. I know that yoour media has to be on a sepeate drice than your applicatoin is on. I was wondering if i have to put the 40 gigs of loops and other media ( that come with motion livetype and fc) on the external as well. thanks

Your choice. It’s all going to get rendered to your media drive before output, so it won’t be playing it rt.
