    Hello guys,
I am using FCP 4.5 on dual G5,with 2 GB of RAM,Cinewave 4.7RT and Medea raid RTRX for storage, and Atto UL4D SCSI card.It has MAC OS X 10.3.6 and Quicktime version 6.5.2.I am facing some problems in FCP which I did not face when I used to work outside in different production houses:-

    1. When I am increasing the size in the Viewer or Canvas window to 100% or even 75% and playback it shows the footage on the computer monitor but the frame is still in the TV monitor. When I change it ot ‘Fit to Window’ then it is shows output on TV monitor also.

    2. Secondly when I am scanning the timeline ‘frame by frame’ by pressing the right arrow key and keeping the arrow key pressed the footage is moving frame by frame and showing in the canvas window on computer but on TV monitor it shows the starting still frame of footage from where I started pressing the arrow key.But as soon as I release the right arrow key the TV monitor refreshes to currrent frame showing in the canvas window.

3.Thirdly when I am scaning the timeline frame by frame by pressing the right arrow key once the timehead does not go to the exact position.

I hope I have been able to explain the problem. Can someone please help me out.Thks

I’m not sure about a solution to your third problem, but for the first two – do you have more than one sequence open? Sometimes, especially when you are working with HD material, Final Cut can’t handle a lot of open sequences. Try closing all but one and make sure that your windows don’t overlap.
