I am a relative newbie to FCP having migrated from Composer. I have a 12 minute video with 4 video streams that the time line says needs to be rendered. And the screen says its unrendered when one plays through. When I go to render FCP acts as if there is nothing to render, even though the ominous red lines are still in the time line.

What to do? What to do?

Go to your Sequence>Render Menus and Check all the qualities that you want to be rendered. Otherwise, nothing will happen. I suggest checking the Red Render bar, Light Green Preview bar and Dark Green Full bars.

    Gunner:

Thanks much. I’m a moron. This is a great resource. I’m adapting to FCP and at times its a rocky road. Similar to the rocks I have in my head. Again, thanks for your help.
